Production Manager (Fabrication)

Role:
Reporting to the Head of Production, this is a hands-on role that requires working across multiple projects simultaneously and in collaboration with the internal teams (creative, technical, production, fabrication), external partners, and subcontractors to ensure the successful execution of projects from conception to completion.
* Specification: Specifying the correct technical solution, production methods, and materials for each project and directing technical design and fabrication teams (internal or external).
* Project Planning and Management: Lead the planning, management, and oversight of technical projects, influencing design, fabrication, and overall project processes.
* Budgeting and Financial Management: Assist in establishing and managing project budgets, providing accurate estimates, quotes, and detailed project specifications.
* Production Scheduling: Create and implement comprehensive production and fabrication schedules, ensuring the timely delivery of all project components.
* Procurement & Supplier Management: Supplier selection, specification, negotiation, and ongoing management based on specific project requirements.
* Quality: Implementing and maintaining quality control processes to ensure all projects meet design specifications and quality standards.
* Technical Advisory: Advise in-house Account Managers on complex technical aspects of projects, offering guidance and solutions as needed.
Candidate Required Skills:
* Previous proven experience in Production management, Fabrication, and Design projects is essential.
* Technical Design background, with the ability to create, read, and interpret drawings and 3D models is essential.
* Proficiency across 3D design / CAD software is essential.
* Track record of project managing production-heavy installations from design, planning through to onsite delivery.
* UK Full Driving License is required.
The successful candidate will have a methodical, collaborative, thorough, and focused approach to work and understand how to technically deliver world-class projects.
Candidate Preferable Skills:
* Relevant safety, project management, and event-centric qualification(s) preferable.
* Plant Tickets (forklift, picker, scissor, telehandler) preferable.
* Working knowledge of A/V, rigging, and scenic production methods with associated materials and equipment is advantageous.
