Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Teaching Assistant Long-term full-time positions Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm Pay - £88 - £100 Start Date: ASAP Location: Croydon We are looking for SEND Teaching Assistants to work in a Primary and Secondary SEN Schools in the Croydon borough. We are eager to speak to SEND Teaching Assistants with a background and/or degree in psychology or related field. You’ll be working with ASD pupils who have barriers to their communication. Experience with non-verbal children would be beneficial but not essential. We’re on the lookout for individuals who are eager to learn, enthusiastic, and patient. This is a fantastic opportunity as you will be joining a supportive, exciting, and dedicated team. Your responsibilities will include: Planning tailored 1:1’s and group sessions. Working with experienced TA’s to encourage pupil development. Creating a stimulating learning environment. Demonstrating flexibility and the ability to quickly solve problems. Qualifications and Skills: SEND experience with children who have Autism (ASD) is essential. Experience with speech language and communication needs (SLCN), especially non-verbal pupils, is desirable but not essential. Ideally have a background and/or degree in psychology or related field. Ability to build trusting relationships.
