The Role

We are looking for a HR professional to join our Employee Relations Team, responsible for managing a large and varied caseload. You will need to have a passion for excellence and a real commitment to achieving workforce solutions to improve Council services and outcomes for residents.
You will be highly organised, resilient and able to make systematic and rational judgements based on relevant information and employment legislation. You will possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence others and negotiate positive outcomes. You will be highly self-motivated to deliver projects through to the end, working independently on your own initiative.
You will also be proficient in the use of ICT which will enable you to work in a hybrid way. A working knowledge of any of the Local Government, Teacher and NHS terms and conditions of service would be an advantage.

About You
To be successful in the role you will be a proactive, driven individual with an up to date knowledge of employment law, best practice and strategic thinking in HR along with strong generalist HR experience. You will be a confident influencer, adept at managing multiple priorities and will be CIPD qualified.
You will have a high level of knowledge, theory and practice relating to employment law providing HR advice and support to a range of customers, understanding and meeting their needs to generate creative solutions, demonstrating resourcefulness to work issues
