- THE ROLE -
The postholder will be responsible for a portfolio of externally funded awards and will lead in managing the post-award financial and administrative activities for those awards. The postholder will apply a detailed and expert knowledge and understanding of award policies, procedures and processes, delivering consistent and visible support to the Principal Investigators and Academic support staff and maintaining strong relations with Faculty Research Managers. They will work closely with the Claims Section, preparing and submitting claims as necessary for all externally funded grants.
- ABOUT YOU -
1. You will work independently to manage a portfolio of external awards from various funding bodies, ensuring compliance with the University's accounting principles, financial guidelines, policies and procedures and funding body terms and conditions.
2. You will provide post-award project management support on external research awards grants, including setting up awards, maintaining project files, and acting independently to resolve issues arising from claims submitted.
3. You will work with the Research and Innovation colleagues and other Professional Services departments to ensure policies are not obstructive to research performance by developing innovative solutions that were not immediately apparent.
