Assistant Accountant
SF Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a superb, growing SME business close to Stratford upon Avon town centre with on site parking.
We are seeking to recruit a succession plan for our client to train and develop towards Finance Manager in the future.
This role will encompass a broad range of duties and training and development will be provided in any areas that require support to grow towards Finance Manager
Key duties will include:
- Preparation and posting of general ledger journals. - Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records. - Handle HMRC VAT & PAYE returns to ensure regulatory compliance. - Payroll management, including auto-enrollment pension submissions. - Manage online bank accounts and ensure all transactions are accurate and up to date. - Manage the audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reports. - Cash flow management, including regular forecasting and reporting. - Manage sales and purchase ledgers, including invoice production and credit control. - Provide first-line support for telephony and IT issues. - Oversee general office management responsibilities related to financial tasks.
There is a very exciting progression opportunity within this role from Assistant Accountant to Finance Manager and longer term to FD.
