We are currently looking for an accountable, motivated, friendly and a strong leader to join our management team and be the second in command in the site manager’s absence, while managing, coaching, and motivating the team.
What will my role look like?
As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for managing the store in the managements’ absence. Using your managerial skill to ensure that the team is operating smoothly and promoting sales, increase profitability and making sure the customers are satisfied.
What would my main responsibilities be?
1. Manage the inventory and stock control including weekly stock take and reports.
2. Ensure external sale items are stocked and presented.
3. Meet with target fuel stock holding by checking current fuel volumes, stock at site and delivery plans.
4. Work to constantly drive down waste and inefficiency.
5. Review and adapt processes and procedures to improve efficiency and maximise output.
6. Handle customers’ enquiries.
7. Report any store or employee issues to the Store Manager.
8. Ensure Health & Safety, Food Safety and hygiene procedures & standards are maintained and followed.
9. Ensure all cash is banked and calculated correctly.
10. Check floats and cashing up is done correctly.
11. Complete cashing/banking summaries and reports and perform the relevant checks.
12. Adhere to Challenge 25 policies on age restricted items and checking and logging IDs.
