Job Title: Environmental Management Systems Specialist
Location: We can be flexible on base location within Kent, Sussex and Hampshire. We offer hybrid working as standard with an approximately 50/50 split between site and home.

Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: circa £45,000 depending on skills and experience
A business needs car will be provided (clean UK driving licence required).

Job Overview
1. As a subject matter expert on our Environmental Management System, you will work closely with internal stakeholders across the business to provide support and guidance on how we can maintain compliance with the high standards we pride ourselves on delivering, and of course our regulatory commitments too.
2. Liaising with our front-line operations workers and behind-the-scenes office staff alike, you will visit sites to undertake audits, whilst also delivering inspiring talks to help educate and empower our teams to be able to maintain their own compliance too.
3. You will manage, and provide training for, our Environmental Champions Network, a group of passionate and like-minded individuals who are advocating environmental best practice across all corners of our business.
4. Provide information for key reports from monitoring, audits, operational controls, and other key environmental performance criteria, in order to maintain continuous and consistent lines of communication. Undertake audits including EMS and other assurance measures to independently verify environmental compliance and performance and support the wider programme of ISO14001 EMS compliance and certification.
About You
5. Experience of environmental management systems and audit processes.
6. Degree in science, engineering or other environmental subject or equivalent.
7. Good written, presentation and verbal communication skills, with ability to work in a team and independently.
8. Experience in the utilities sector and preferably water and wastewater desirable.
9. Risk assessment, problem solving, prioritisation and time management skills.
10. At ease working with wide cross section of workforce and flexibility around working window.
Package
This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between our Durrington/Falmer/Otterbourne or Chatham office and home. We are offering a salary circa £45,000 per annum depending on skills and experience as well as other benefits including:
