Social Media Manager

As a Social Media Marketing Manager, you will develop and execute social media strategies to enhance brand visibility, drive engagement, and achieve client business goals. Collaborating with client teams and internal departments, you will manage multiple projects, ensuring timely execution of campaigns across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn. You will oversee content creation, analyse performance metrics, and provide data-driven insights to optimize results. Building strong client relationships, you will act as a trusted advisor, aligning social media efforts with broader marketing objectives while staying ahead of industry trends to drive innovation and success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities are outlined below, experience is needed across all areas, however work at any given time may focus only on a few of these areas, specific scope will be dependent on the needs of the individual clients you work on:
Social Media Strategy Development:
* Working with internal client service, strategy and social media teams, develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives for our clients
* Understand target audiences and tailor content to appeal to specific demographics.
* Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.
Content Creation and Curation:
* Create engaging and shareable content ideas across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, You Tube and LinkedIn
* Ensure content showcases the unique positioning of the brand, is relevant to the target audience, and bespoke to the channel it is being posted on
* Present ideas to the client in a creative and engaging way, with a well considered rationale for why the content will perform and meet desired KPI’s
* Collaborate with the creative team to produce visually appealing graphics, videos, and other multimedia content.
Campaign Planning and Execution:
* Create content plans for on going content and individual campaigns, that will be delivered across multiple audience segments across multiple social media platforms
* Where relevant plans should include how KPI’s can be achieved per channel, using channel specific tactics and strategies
* Work with the client service team to present plans to the client, and get sign off ahead of production
* Coordinate with the internal social media and client services team to ensure plans align with the overall marketing and brand strategy for the client.
* Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies as needed.
Community Engagement:
* Foster and nurture a strong online community through regular interactions and timely responses to comments and messages.
* Encourage user-generated content and customer testimonials.
* Manage and moderate social media channels to maintain a positive brand image.
Analytics and Reporting:
* Track and analySe social media performance metrics using social media analytics platforms (platforms vary depending on client organisation).
* Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators and provide insights for optimization, this is done on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for our clients.
* Use data to refine and improve social media strategies. Reviewing learnings and driving continuous improvement is paramount.
Stay Compliant:
* Ensure all social media activities comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.
* Stay informed about changes in algorithms and policies on various social media platforms.
EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role - minimum 3 years
* In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
* Strong creative and writing skills.
* Proficient in using social media management and analytics tools.
* Experience with paid social media advertising.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
