Whether you're at a junior, mid, or senior level, we're more interested in finding the right person who can grow with us. You'll craft winning proposals for our clients - from major UK charities to international NGOs, governments, and universities. The ideal candidate will blend technical understanding with a flair for compelling storytelling, thriving in our fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. Our Bid Managers have the following skills: ● Proposal Writing: Strong ability to craft compelling, well-structured proposals tailored to specific client requirements. ● Project Management: Experience managing bidding processes from start to finish, including timeline management and coordination across multiple teams. ● Technical Understanding: Basic comprehension of the digital space spanning website development, software engineering and digital marketing to be able to collaborate with subject matter experts. ● Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise between internal teams, leadership, and external clients/partners. This role will cover both bids for the public sector and nonprofits. Experience with the main public sector procurement frameworks in the UK (DOS, GCloud) and familiarity with the GOV.UK Service Standard would be a ‘nice to have’. Key Responsibilities ● Lead the entire bid process from start to finish for new clients and expanded services for existing clients ● Analyse RFPs and tender documents to determine bid strategy ● Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information for proposals ● Write, review, edit, and format compelling bid documents, showcasing the agency's full range of services ● Ensure all bid submissions meet deadlines and comply with requirements ● Conduct post-bid analysis and incorporate learnings into future bids ● Maintain a database of bid content and past proposals for future reference What we offer. There is an additional profit share scheme. The application process The closing date for this role is Wednesday 6th November. The application process will consist of 2 stages, these will be: ● 45-minute first-stage interview with our New Business Director - we will ask you about your previous work, skills & experience. You’ll also get a chance to learn more about Torchbox and the role ● A 90-minute final stage interview, will be a panel interview with 2-3 members of the team. We will delve more into your experience and ask you some competency-based questions. During this stage, we’d like you to complete a written task and a 5-minute presentation.
