Romford Care Centre is a welcoming, beautifully decorated and purpose-built care home which specialises in Nursing, Residential and Dementia care for older people. We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (nights) to join our friendly team.
In this role, you will work in a pleasant environment, supporting people to live a dignified and fulfilling life while delivering the very best standards of care.
As a Registered Nurse, you will have a valid NMC pin number, as well as the most up to date clinical practices. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. An understanding of regulatory frameworks - NMC and CQC.
2. Carrying out risk assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans for each of our residents.
3. Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant policies, standards and legislation.
4. Administering residents' medication.
5. Undertaking audits.
6. Providing direct care for residents including washing, dressing, and support with nutrition and hydration.
7. Extending clinical competencies and nursing practice to offer comprehensive services, for example, catheterisation, venepuncture, IVI therapy, ear syringing, etc.
Skills / Requirements
1. Active NMC pin.
2. Genuine commitment to adhering to the NMC Codes of Conduct.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
4. A caring, courteous and compassionate nature to ensure that residents' needs and wishes are met where possible.
5. Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail.
6. Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.
7. Willingness to work a flexible shift pattern.
8. A willingness to coach, guide and support your team.
9. Provide formal and informal mentoring to your colleagues and other care professionals.
10. Undertake all mandatory and necessary training.
11. Self-motivated and pro-active individual who strives to learn and develop in their role.
12. Preferably have experience working with the elderly, particularly those living with dementia.
