UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE
+ make a difference for every patient
Due to the increase of treatment and care we give to our patients and subsequent expansion, we have new opportunities for Bank - Physiotherapy Assistants to join our friendly yet focused Physiotherapy Team at our Barlborough based hospital.
Would you like to kick start your Physiotherapy career within a healthcare provider focused on providing a high standard of safe and effective patient care?
We work with you to help you grow in your role and take your career in the direction you want to go. If you want to join our permanent team, we’ll support you. If you just want to stay as a bank practitioner, that’s fine too. We’ll help you be the best you can be.
What you'll be doing
You as a Bank Physiotherapy Assistant will be supporting the Physiotherapists in the treatment of patients and with supervision will be responsible for working on your own patient caseload.
You will be monitoring patient progress, reporting any issues to the qualified Physiotherapist. In addition, working with the Physiotherapist, you may need to alter where required and progress individual patient treatment plans, always ensuring the appropriate pathways of care and communication are being met.
You’ll be providing treatment to patients identifying particulars such as range of movement, strength and additional care needs. You will be offering advice, guidance and instructions to our patients, their families or carers as well as some professionals and trainees.
You will be conscious of health, safety and hygiene aspects in the treatment areas and ensuring physiotherapy equipment is clean and fit for purpose, reporting any issues to the appropriate member of staff. You’ll assist with the management of stock and equipment, ensuring good levels and ordering when appropriate, pre-empting any shortfalls.
What we’ll look for in you
As one of our Bank - Physiotherapy Assistants, you will be degree qualified in Sport Therapy (or equivalent degree) or an undergraduate within Physiotherapy.
This position will require you to have an empathetic approach; as a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will be a driver of motivation, persuasion, and reassurance aiding in the patient's positivity and treatment.
Strong communication skills will be key, both written and verbal. You will be communicating daily with a wide range of people, both internal and external, updating documentation and patient files.
You must have the ability to work as part of an effective team, playing your part to deliver the best patient care possible.
