Guardian is one of the largest glass producers and innovators in the world. All UK manufacturing is based at the plant in Goole, East Yorkshire. We have recently made significant investment in a new furnace that uses advanced technology and will secure glass manufacture at the site for the next 20 years. The Plant IT-OT Administrator will be expected to provide local support for the Process and Operational technology infrastructure. A strong working knowledge is required of infrastructure and networking technologies preferably in the manufacturing space. You will be a highly effective problem solver with the ability to work independently and collaborate with other teams.
What You Will Do
1. Manage IT/technology related project deployments in the plant, providing local support where needed.
2. Collaborate with other teams such as engineering and global IT/OT teams.
3. Manage onsite IT service providers and vendors.
4. Implement, maintain, and support plant operational printers.
5. Proactively troubleshoot and solve OT network or OT systems issues.
6. Own and support anti-virus software on plant Process workstations, laptops, and servers.
7. Administer and support software patching on plant Process workstations, laptops, and servers.
8. Cybersecurity.
9. Familiar with ITIL processes
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
10. Working knowledge of current network communications devices and protocols as well as server and desktop technologies, esp. Windows Server.
11. Working knowledge of Cisco and VMware is very nice to have.
12. Ability to manage multiple projects, activities,and tasks simultaneously.
13. Previous work experience following change management procedures and maintaininga highly available infrastructure.
14. Fluent in English.
What Will Put You Ahead
15. Bachelor’s Degree in IT or equivalent work experience.
16. Proven experience in the administration of a network of servers, desktop systems and communication devices.
17. Desirable basic knowledge of ICS elements.
18. HMI, Scadas, data collectors, Historian.
19. Industrial communication protocols, OPC, profinet, modbus….
20. PLCs.
