About this role:
The Quantity Surveyor's role involves creating accurate briefing notes from client discussions to support pricing, along with detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQ) or Scope of Works (SoW). Key responsibilities include procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, with thorough analysis and a procurement tracker. Contracts are prepared, issued, and managed, while regular site visits facilitate liaison and negotiation with clients and internal teams. Monitoring, valuing, and agreeing on contract variations ensures alignment with requirements, while progress valuations and cost value reconciliations (CVRs) are produced to report profitability. Waste reduction efforts and final account production help meet financial targets. The role also involves invoicing reconciliation, interdepartmental coordination, and managing full project tenders when required. Project data is maintained on the Concorde Project Portal and Egnyte server, using the correct CBGW documentation for consistency and compliance. This comprehensive set of tasks ensures efficient and profitable project delivery.

Requirements:
1. Confident, capable team player with strong alignment to company culture and values, fostering interdepartmental synergy.
2. High attention to detail, with a proactive approach to ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
3. Minimum of 8 years of Quantity Surveying experience, ideally within a construction-focused role.
4. Strong decision-making and negotiation abilities for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Proficient in MS Excel and other essential IT systems.
6. Advanced numeracy skills for precise project analysis and reporting.
7. Approachable and personable, encouraging positive working relationships.
8. Skilled in personal time management to ensure productivity and adherence to deadlines.
9. Produces accurate and timely Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports.
10. Able to work effectively to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
11. Expertise in end-to-end project costing, from initial estimating through to final account and CVR reporting, with effective subcontractor, supplier, and contract management.
12. Holds a valid full driving license.
