ALN Learning Support Assistant
Salary: £12.90 per hour
Location: Pembroke
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (no weekends)
Closing Date: Wednesday 4th December
Teaching Personnel are looking for an ALN Learning Support Assistant to work in one of our partner schools in the Pembroke area. The school is a secondary school that has a centre that specialises in supporting children with additional learning needs. The school provide excellent levels of support to the their pupils and create a safe and nurturing environment for them to thrive in.
Responsibilities of an ALN Learning Support Assistant
* Supervise and provide support for pupils with additional learning needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
* Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
* Promote the inclusion and acceptance of pupils.
* Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
* Promote self-esteem and independence.
* Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals.
* Provide detailed and regular feedback to teacher on pupils’ progress.
* Assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson times, including before and after school and at lunchtime.
Ideal ALN Learning Support Assistants will have:
* Experience supporting children with learning difficulties
* Experience supporting and de-escalating challenging behaviour
* You will need to be confident, organised and an enthusiastic individual who’s passionate about getting the best out of pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
