We are looking to recruit a Financial Reporting Advisory Senior/Supervisor to join our team. We are flexible on location within Scotland. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out Financial Reporting compliance and advisory work; flagging up issues to your manager at an early stage; ensuring deadlines and budgets are met and that the work presented for review is prepared to a good standard. You will also be responsible for working closely with the Financial Reporting Advisory Senior Manager to ensure that your work is handled effectively from start to finish and is done in accordance with the firm’s policies and procedures. The Financial Reporting Advisory Senior/Supervisor will be responsible for (but not limited to): Preparing statutory financial statements for clients with minimal supervision, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements, using both Microsoft Word and CCH Accounts Production software, in accordance with both UK GAAP and IFRS Working with other internal departments on the delivery of statutory financial statements and advisory work Supporting various accounting advisory projects on application and interpretation of existing and new accounting standards Participating in the team’s strategic development and projects Actively monitoring and managing your work including ensuring deadlines and budgets are met, work is completed to a good standard and communication is effective both within the firm team and with our clients Where circumstances allow, delegating work to Assistants and ensuring that they are supported as necessary to complete that work to the standard required Briefing, training and de-briefing Assistants, giving formal feedback as required Liaising with client staff whether at the client’s premises or on-line and building effective relationships with our clients Taking an active role in your own development by seeking regular feedback and identifying and acting upon personal development needs.
