About Cera
Cera is the UK’s largest HealthTech company and one of Europe’s fastest-growing businesses – harnessing preventative technology and AI to take care out of Britain’s hospitals and into patients’ homes.
Cera’s proprietary, AI-backed tools predict more than 80% of hospitalisations and 83% of falls in advance, mobilising its frontline workforce of almost 10,000 carers and nurses to deliver timely preventative care in the community. Independent analyses show Cera’s tech-powered, preventative model reduces patient hospitalisations by up to 70%, saving the government £1 million a day.
Cera delivers 2 million home healthcare visits a month, equivalent to all NHS A&E departments nationwide. At each visit, Cera uses its pioneering technology to collect data on how our population is ageing, building one of the world’s largest tech-powered home healthcare datasets.
Cera’s innovative approach has been recognised by numerous industry awards including Health Tech Digital’s Best Use of Artificial Intelligence, Home Care Awards’ Most Outstanding Home Care Provider, a top-ten position in the Deloitte Fast 50 for three consecutive years, and the prestigious Great British Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2023.
Cera was co-founded by entrepreneur, physician and policy expert Dr Ben Maruthappu MBE. Its Advisory Board is Chaired by Sir David Behan, the former CEO of the Care Quality Commission.
