Supporting the Depot Operations Manager with the compliant day-to-day running of waste collection services at our Bishop's Cleeve transport depot is a demanding role and you'll be a visible presence.
What you'll be doing as Transport Manage r
The depot services businesses in the Gloucestershire area and as Transport Manager you will hit the ground running, connecting with the three-strong transport team and customers and quickly establishing yourself as a proactive and capable presence.
Working alongside the Depot Operations Manager, you will support, manage and motivate an experienced transport office team and around 24 drivers, making every effort to ensure that customers receive their general waste or recycling collection services when they expect them.
What you'll need
Your customer-focused approach, organisational skills and ability to build good working relationships go without saying, and we expect our Transport Manager to be a confident communicator and motivator, with sound computer and cost-control skills.
Other ‘musts' are a Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and full clean UK driving licence, ideally with LGV Class 2 (cat C) entitlement.
