Contracts Administrator, II in Cheswick, Pennsylvania
We are looking for a Contracts Administrator, Senior to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Conduct proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and administration of government and/or commercial contracts.
2. Monitor performance for conformance to original proposal.
3. Analyze estimates of material, equipment, and production costs.
4. Review contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, and conformance to master agreements.
5. Respond to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions.
6. Initiate documentation to authorize work in accordance with contractual specifications.
7. Participate in contract negotiations.
8. Review customer inquiries, contract documents, contract terms and conditions, and correspondence as part of the bid evaluation and subsequent proposal process.
9. Coordinate, prepare, and write proposals for new contracts as well as changes to existing contracts.
10. Develop pricing strategies in support of EMD’s financial objectives.
11. Participate in negotiation of those proposals with existing and prospective clients, including negotiation of financial and administrative terms and conditions.
12. Administer assigned contracts and changes to ensure compliance with division processes, procedures, and contract requirements.
13. Evaluate financial, compliance, or performance issues associated with assigned contracts and recommend appropriate actions to resolve.
14. Request contract modifications as required and/or appropriate.
15. Maintain liaison with customers and internal personnel to expedite and coordinate contract activities.
16. Employ problem-solving skills to effectively resolve issues with the customer and internal/project personnel.
17. Complete assigned tasks in a comprehensive fashion and in the specified time-frame.
What You Bring:
1. BS or BA in Business Administration or equivalent.
2. Must be a US citizen and be able to qualify for a U.S. Government security clearance.
3. 4 – 7 years’ experience.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
5. Must be able to work within a team and be able to multi-task.
6. Above average writing and verbal communication skills.
7. Excellent presence with people.
8. Good understanding of financial metrics and calculations.
Not required but preferred:
1. Working knowledge of supply and services contract structure.
2. Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR terms and conditions.
3. Working knowledge of Truth-in-Negotiations-Act (TINA) principles.
4. Experience in customer negotiations and problem solving.
5. MBA, NCMA certification, and prior U.S. Government security clearance are a plus.
