Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* You will split your time between college learning and working within our world-class manufacturing plant, equipping you with the skills and knowledge you need to work as part of the team maintaining our state-of-the-art production facilities
* You be supported by our experienced technicians to nurture your theoretical, problem-solving and hands-on-skills
With varied working areas, including Body Shop, Trim & Chassis, Powertrain and Press & Plastics, you will have the chance to see a range of manufacturing areas, working within the team responsible for breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, dynamic checks and project work
* You will get the opportunity to experience the latest machinery and equipment such as PLCs, AGVs and FANUC robots
* Your developing skills will also support the development of the current and future line-up of Nissan’s vehicles, including new model launches and the qualities processes od associated production processes

You'll be working towards a Level 3 Maintenance Technician apprenticeship standard. Your first year will be at college. In Year 2 - 5, you will split your time between college learning and working within our world-class manufacturing plant on day-release to college once a week.
