Key Responsibilities of this Senior Health and Safety Advisor role: Advisory Role: Provide expert advice and support on HSE legislation to staff. Policy Management: Regularly review and update health and safety policies and practices. Operational Support: Assist operational teams in producing risk assessments and safe systems of work. Incident Management: Document, investigate, and implement improvements following accidents. Risk Management: Offer advice on risk management and health surveillance. Audit Development: Assist in developing and conducting HSE audits and assessment plans. Training and Development: Identify non-compliance areas, deliver HSE training, and lead safety committee meetings. Reporting: Accurately produce and report metrics. Leadership: Deputise for the QHSE Manager when required. Required Skills and Experience for this Senior Health and Safety Advisor role: Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH National Certificate), TechIOSH (preferred CertIOSH or equivalent). Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry. Skills: Strong communication, methodical problem-solving, decision-making, planning, and coordination skills. Attributes: Naturally inquisitive, focused on continuous improvement, able to work under pressure, and a team player who takes accountability and works on their own initiative. Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence.
