* The Service are looking for "an experienced senior SEND manager to review the current Self Evaluation Form (SEF) in the Local Area SEND partnership in Council with a view to updating the SEF to be reflective of the current situation in the Local Area Partnership and to demonstrate the impact of the current plans to meet the objectives as set out in the SEF.
* The next area wide SEND inspection is expected to take place shortly. Therefore, the need for this work to be undertaken is urgent
The applicant will be an experienced SEND Senior Leader who has the following skills and attributes
* To provide strategic direction and performance management, assisting the Education and Inclusion Senior Leadership Team to refine the existing SEF.
* The postholder will be delivering on the strategic values and vision of the council.
* The postholder will need to have extensive knowledge of the importance of strategic responsibility for developing and implementing evidenced based practice taken from research that reflects current good practice and achieves best outcomes for children, young people and families.
* These critical knowledge and experience skillsets will need to be translated and evidenced where possible in the SEF.
* Providing confident and evidence-based leadership.
* This will need to be a strong skillset as the authority is loking for an experienced leader who can review the SEF and ensure that it meets the Council’s and Service areas strategic aims and objectives in accordance with legislative, statutory and procedural requirements.
