Main duties of the job
* In line with National Standards of Cleanliness, provide a safe, hygienic environment for patients and staff.
* Communicate effectively with patients, work colleagues, and visitors throughout the process of delivery of the service, always respecting dignity and confidentiality.
* Carry out all designated cleaning duties in a safe manner using only equipment and materials provided by the department, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
* Complete mandatory training and relevant departmental training.
* Use own initiative when carrying out duties on wards and departments to ensure service is provided and standards are met.

Job responsibilities
* Complete work records.
* Work completed in line with schedules and timescales.
* Report any adverse events to the line manager and complete the online form.
* Ensure patient satisfaction surveys show no incidents or concerns regarding service.
* Address any issues raised via PALS.
* Carry out all designated cleaning duties in a safe manner using only equipment and materials provided by the department, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
* Complete mandatory training and relevant departmental training.
* Use own initiative when carrying out duties on wards and departments to ensure service is provided and standards are met.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Experience
* Previous experience working with the public/customers.
* Experience of working in the cleaning industry (commercial/healthcare, etc.).
* Previous experience of working in a hospital/healthcare/care home environment.
