We need local drivers to transport patients to enable them to attend appointments within our trust.
Responsibilities:
Collecting patients from their home address to appointments within the Trust, and returning them home after the appointment.
Skills & Qualities:
You must have access to your own vehicle for this role, it must be safe and legal to drive, and suitable for transporting patients. You must also have a full clean driving licence and business insurance for your car.
You will need to be patient and understanding, and have a friendly personality.
When & Where?
Durham area, plus perhaps some out of area opportunities occasionally, within the geographical area of Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Trust.
Flexible hours between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday, no weekends.
Training and Support Offered/Expenses:
Travel expenses paid at 45p per mile and you will receive an additional 5p per mile per patient transported.
This is a patient-facing role, giving experience with an NHS mental health trust. Support given from our Voluntary Services Team. Training given, which could lead to the National Volunteer Certificate.

Must live or work locally.
Hours: Flexible, Mon-Fri 9am to 4pm
