The Position
As our Administrative Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in connecting the dots and ensure smooth administrative and operational support across several areas. You will represent the Site view of the Novo Nordisk Research Centre in Oxford (NNRCO) and collaborate closely with functional coordinators in- and outside of the UK.
You can expect to take on tasks related to the Board of Directors of NNRCO Ltd, support Site leadership with tasks within operations, Health & Safety, Compliance and other cross functional activities.
You will help plan events, internal and external, and be a part of a global team with different profiles and roles.
Your tasks will include:
1. Coordinate and facilitate collaboration across administrative and operational staff in NNRCO, across the EVP areas and functional lines.
2. Represent the site perspective and ensure structures and processes support the NNRCO perspective.
3. Provide general administrative support, including site coordination and cross-area support.
4. Lead planning of site events, catering, and teambuilding activities as well as act as the admin for SharePoint and information boards.
5. Support the University of Oxford Secretariat with planning the Annual Fellowship Symposium and collaboration efforts.
The character of this role requires physical presence in our Oxford office at least 4 times per week.
Qualifications
We are looking for a proactive, and organised team player, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can navigate through ambiguity.
We are open to receiving applications from candidates who meet the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
2. Relevant work experience in an operational capacity supporting functional areas such as compliance, legal, biotech or academic setting or equivalent. Ideally you have experience from working in a regulated area
3. Experience gained in an international/global environment is a plus
4. Computer literacy with the use of databases, spreadsheets, and other general software
5. Strong communication skills in written and oral English
6. Ability to prioritize as well as to navigate ambiguous and complex settings
7. A supportive, solution-oriented, pragmatic and can-do mindset
8. Cultural awareness and curiosity Flexibility and openness to continuous improvements
About the Department
You will be a part of an international team that supports activities across the Novo Nordisk value chain in our Research Hub in Oxford and our Digital Hub in London.
