Day to Day Supply Staff - Cover Supervisor
Bramcote and surrounding areas
Earn up to £550 per week
About the Role:
Connex Education is excited to be working with reputable schools based in the Bramcote/Wollaton area. We are looking to add to our pool of staff to work with local schools. We seek individuals who are happy to be part of a casual supply pool, readily available for work within this area. This role would fit around other commitments or serve as a standalone position for flexible individuals. The ability to travel within the locality is a must.
You will be responsible for covering classes across multiple departments and schools, ensuring smooth learning in the absence of the regular teacher. You will manage behaviour, support students in maintaining progress, and engage them in learning. All lesson materials will be provided for you, and you will be expected to promote positive behaviours and engagement throughout the day.
About the School:
This school is highly supportive, with a welcoming staff and student body, and is well-resourced. There could be opportunities for longer-term positions following successful assignments within the school. If you would like to know more about the school, please get in touch.
We are looking for staff who can start immediately where possible, subject to vetting and compliance. Once employed, there will be opportunities for the rest of the academic year and into the 2025/26 academic year; meaning you will have consistent work on offer during term time.
Benefits of working with Connex Education:
* Competitive daily rate
* Free access to our Teaching Assistant Toolkit skills development package comprising over 24 courses.
* Funded formal qualifications, from Level 2 SEND, Level 3 Teaching and Learning, Level 4 HLTA and Level 5 TEFL
* Career progression via our TA to Tutor conversion course
* Wellbeing programme and refresher training for life in a 21st-century classroom
* Trainee teacher apprenticeship opportunities
Person Specification:
* Experience working with young people in either a school setting or a similar environment (e.g., NCS, sports coaching)
* Confidence in leading a class of children aged 11-16 years
* Ability to work well with challenging behaviour
* Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing
* Punctual and organised
* Strong IT skills and proactivity
* Willingness to undergo continual professional training
* Reliability and commitment to working within an education environment
* Able to work under pressure effectively and ‘think on your feet’
* Ambitious and enthusiastic with a ‘can-do attitude’ and good sense of humour
