You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCPs, deliver adapted learning strategies, and support pupils both in and out of the classroom setting to develop academically, socially, and emotionally. About the Role: As an SEN Learning Support, you will provide targeted, one-to-one or small group support for students with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, sensory processing difficulties, learning delays, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Key Responsibilities: Support the learning and personal development of students with diverse additional needs. Assist the class teacher in maintaining a purposeful learning environment. Promote the development of life skills, independence, and self-confidence in pupils. Adapt activities to meet individual learning styles and physical or emotional needs. Help implement and review behaviour support plans where required. Encourage positive interactions and effective communication among peers. Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews, reporting on student progress and wellbeing. Job Requirements: Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent, are desirable. Experience supporting students with SEN, preferably within a school or care setting. Understanding of safeguarding, child protection and inclusive education practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. A nurturing, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children with complex needs. Understanding of various Special Education Needs conditions, including autism and ADHD, etc. Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
