Job Summary
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will have a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient, compliant and cost-effective running of our transport activities. This role will lead a multi-site transport operation for the UK and Ireland to achieve improvements in our transport systems and service.
About The Role
Main Responsibilities
Develop and implement a transport strategy that aligns with supply chain objectives.
Manage the daily transport operations across multiple sites.
Manage and develop our key haulage partners alongside building and leading a team of drivers and transport staff to ensure high levels of performance, safety, and customer service.
Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, service and quality.
Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to transport operations.
Implement and maintain health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for all transport operations.
Hours of work
45 Hours per week Monday - Friday (inclusive of break times)
This role will be predominantly based on a Day Shift pattern but flexibility to work a range of shift patterns will be required including Weekends and Night Shift.

Desired Criteria
* Minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in logistics/transport/supply chain/operations or business related subject or equivalent.
* Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Qualifications or equivalent.
* Health & Safety Qualifications such as IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
Required Criteria
* Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) or an equivalent qualification.
* Proficient in using transport management systems (TMS) and other relevant software.
* Proven experience in managing multi-site transport operations, with the ability to oversee teams and logistics across different locations.
* Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation, Operator Licence compliance, and industry best practices.
* Experience in managing external Hauliers.
* You must be flexible with regards your working hours in order to support a 24/7 shift pattern and be able to travel outside of Northern Ireland if required.
