Cafe du Soleil is a thriving independent restaurant in the heart of Canterbury, serving modern Mediterranean cuisine in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Much of our food is cooked in a wood burning oven, and absolutely everything we serve is made in house.....from breads, to pasta, to kimchi.
As a Chef de Partie, you will start off running one of the sections in the kitchen, and we will look to train you to work across all of them in time, as we want all of our chefs to develop and progress, to create a strong flexible team, and give everyone variety and satisfaction in their work.
The successful candidate will need good basic cookery knowledge, but be eager to learn new skills, will respond well to professional criticism and training, and be able to handle the pressure of a busy service.
We provide a friendly and supportive environment, so this position would suit both a keen chef with a couple of years in a professional kitchen under their belt, or some one with more experience, looking to further their career.
