An opportunity has arisen for highly motivated individuals to apply for the role of Band 6 Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse in the Emergency Department.
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated nurses who possess excellent communication skills and enjoy a challenge to join our senior nursing team. Applicants must enjoy a fast pace acute environment as well as having a keen interest in ensuring high quality nursing standards are being delivered. You must have the skills required to work across all department areas and proven leadership skills.
As a band 6 sister/charge nurse you, must have excellent communication skills, organisational skills and be able to lead a team.
This post will cover both days and nights.
Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of evidence-based nursing care to a group of patients.
Leadership and supervision of others carrying out all aspects of the caring process.
There will be the opportunity take charge of areas of the department and ensure they are managed efficiently, and that concerns or problems are escalated appropriately and timely to ensure the patients journey is safe and efficient.
Participate in the effective clinical leadership and management of the department team.
Actively contribute to the improvement of services and the quality of care provision to meet the needs of patients, service users and their families.
Act as a role model, mentoring, teaching, assessing and supporting students and learners on placement and participate in the education, development and mentorship of other staff.
