Reporting to the Toolroom Manager, the Toolroom Quality Engineer is a critical role, responsible for all Quality Control aspects of Injection Mould manufacture, Improvement and Maintenance, acting as the Quality control of released manufactured parts into production Injection Moulds.
Responsibilities
* Inspection and Documentation of all new Items manufactured.
* Inspection and Documentation of new parts after Trials.
* Inspection and Documentation of all product investigations.
* Inspection and Documentation of all Last off Samples.
* Lead Tool Specific Improvement Projects within the toolroom.
* Lead any Tool specific 8D investigations and provide knowledge and evidence on such occasions.
Minimum Requirements
* Must have experience working in a similar role within an engineering function.
* Must be familiar with IATF 9001 & 14001 accreditation.
* Experience with Data analysis Tools (Six Sigma for example).
* Must be able to use CMM Inspection Machines, 3D Scanning Machines and Vision Systems.
* Great Communication and organisational skills, and able to confidently operate within a fast-paced production environment.
* Must be skilled at producing Inspection Documentation and keeping accurate records of inspection, testing and checks.
* Computer skills are essential to fully utilise the toolroom Data Collection, and confidently analyse worst offenders and trend analysis.
* Responsible for release of all parts to be used in Tooling Injection Mould Tools manufacture by HellermannTyton Toolroom.
* Key Stakeholder investigations into product performance and customer complaints.
* The Toolroom Representative for all 8D Quality investigations.
* Accountable organisation and documentation of all Head Inserts, keeping track of any change in numbers, low levels, design changes, or discontinued tool inserts and designs.
* Responsible for gathering evidence for design and performance improvements of products.
* Key Stakeholder in continuous improvement within the Mould Manufacture Process.
* Key Stakeholder in Identifying Issues with current tooling and worst offender analysis.
* Responsible for Tool Lifecycle Assessments, working with Tool maintenance and Repairs team and being a Key Stakeholder on Tool Replacement decisions.
