Teacher of PE and Games
Full Time, Permanent
Leicester Grammar School is one of the UK's top-performing co-educational HMC independent day schools. Our pupils enjoy exceptional opportunities within and beyond the classroom; we have high expectations, but the success of our community stems, above all, from a culture of aspiration and care.
We are looking for an outstanding Teacher of PE and Games with a specialism in netball (a track record of coaching hockey and/or cricket is also desirable).
The post will suit a well-qualified graduate teacher, committed to delivering an exceptional learning experience for every pupil. As Teacher of PE and Games you will have a demonstrable track-record of coaching teams to success. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering a high standard of PE and Games and ideally have experience of teaching Academic PE at GCSE or A-Level.
Ideally the successful candidate would start September 2025, however we are able to consider an April 2025 start for the right candidate.
If you are interested in teaching PE and Games in a supportive, caring, and academically engaging environment, you are advised to apply early as we reserve the right to close this vacancy earlier than the specified deadline, if a suitable candidate is found.
The closing date for applications is 29 January 2025 at 9:00am. Interviews are scheduled to take place on 5 February.
Please note that tours of the school form part of the interview for short-listed candidates. Also, references will be obtained prior to interview.
Leicester Grammar School Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and this is reflected in our recruitment procedures.
