We have two brand new, exciting opportunities to join our team as a Contracts Manager (Retrofit)! After a successful bid to receive SHDF funding for Wave 3 - we're looking to expand our delivery team to manage our sustainability delivery workstreams. We've secured funding for the next 3 years as well as proactively allocating budget to deliver further energy efficiency works via ECO4 and alternative funding streams.
Working within our Sustainability and Delivery Team, you will work closely with contractors to deliver our Social Decarbonisation Housing Fund WAVE 3 projects. You will also work with current contractors to utilise other funded works in our homes.
We own and manage c.7,500 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer-centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero-carbon journey - as well as building new homes.
We've also concluded a review of how we work in the future, with options around home and office flexible working, as well as a generous annual leave allowance and other benefits.
Requirements
Outline of Key Responsibilities...
* Undertake property surveys identify defects and issues to be able mitigate these and take appropriate action prior to sustainability works commencing
* Undertake the delivery of the Sustainability strategy objectives and update and assist the business on sharing best practise and technical expertise
* Undertake property energy assessments prior to completion of efficiency works, and post completion to ensure improvement is proactively monitored
* Prepare specifications, works schedules and work programs for projects, managing on site operations contractors and partners from start to completion
* Provide customers with advice on reduction of their own carbon foot print & advise them on the benefits work undertaken will work for them
We are looking for someone who has/is...
* Relevant building or trade qualification
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to interrogate information and analyse benefits and risks to make informed decisions for our homes based upon it
* Experience of undertaking property surveys
* Experience of managing contractors and contract management
* Knowledge and application of relevant legislation to ensure compliance ie H&S at Work, Asbestos, CDM and EPC's
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle during work hours
