Pay Scale: £400 - £450 per week
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Full-time
Start Date: March 2025
Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work across various year groups, providing essential support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and behavioural challenges. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday during term time from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. The role is based at a mainstream primary school and will commence in March 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support students within a resource base setting
2. Lead small group interventions to support learning and development
3. Assist children with additional needs, such as ASD and ADHD
4. Engage pupils through creative and stimulating learning activities
5. Work closely with teachers to provide additional classroom support
6. Communicate effectively with the SENCO regarding student progress
7. Deliver phonics sessions to pupils working at different ability levels
8. Provide 1:1 support for children with autism, ADHD, behavioural needs, and lower academic attainment
9. Be a proactive and positive member of the school community, upholding its values
The Ideal Candidate Will:
1. Hold a relevant qualification (degree or TA certificate)
2. Have experience working with children in a school setting
3. Ideally have experience supporting students with SEN
4. Be adaptable and able to tailor their approach to different learning needs
5. Build strong relationships with pupils to support their progress
