About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the health team to support our Nurses at InFocus Charity, Exeter. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play an essential role within our onsite health team, working collaboratively with our care, education, and therapy teams and supporting our registered practitioners to deliver outstanding healthcare services to our young people. You will be expected to support the assessment and triaging of day-to-day health needs and how these will be met, as well as maintain effective healthcare records.
This role also supports training staff and young people in medication administration. You will facilitate young people to self-advocate at their health appointments and ensure accurate information is handed over to our Nursing team.
About you
We are looking for someone who is motivated and enthusiastic, and will confidentially advocate for the highest standard of care for our young people. The successful person needs to have a passion for their own learning and development, with a desire to share their knowledge, skills, and experience to train our support staff to ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred healthcare.
