Finance Manager | York | c£60,000
We are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing SME manufacturing business in the York area.
As Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and operations of the organisation. Reporting to senior leadership and business owners, you will oversee financial activities across multiple business units, ensuring sound financial management and contributing to long-term growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys a hands-on, strategic role in a dynamic SME environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounting functions, including statutory and management accounts, payroll, reporting, and cash flow.Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including invoicing, debtor management, and supplier negotiations.Produce accurate and insightful financial reports to inform business decisions.Ensure financial compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Work closely with senior stakeholders to provide strategic financial planning and forecasting.Lead financial meetings and support decision-making across business divisions.Manage and develop junior finance staff.
About You:
Experience managing financial operations across multiple business units, ideally within an SME.Strong cash flow management and financial reporting skills.Commercially astute, with the ability to influence financial outcomes.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Willingness to travel between sites as required.
