About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Teaching Assistant to support a vibrant secondary school in Westminster. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and students, assisting in classroom activities, providing one-to-one or small group support, and helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide classroom support to teachers, ensuring smooth lesson delivery.
2. Assist students with learning difficulties or additional needs (SEN experience desirable).
3. Help with behaviour management and encourage positive engagement.
4. Support pupils in core subjects (English, Maths, Science) as needed.
5. Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing learning materials.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
1. Previous experience working as a TA or in an educational setting.
2. A patient, proactive, and compassionate approach.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
5. A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
