To work on a variety of installations (Thermoking and Frigoblock) in the workshop facility and on customer sites and in turn adhering to Internal Health and Safety policies and safe working practices. To liaise with the co-ordinator/s / Admin ensuring all installation information is fully handed over for the job creations. A new opening has arisen for a Supervisor Installation Engineer working remotely across the North of the country installing refrigeration equipment into large trucks and vans. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION To liaise with the co-ordinator/s ensuring all installation expectations and customer requirements are met to the highest standard. To recognize any specific training needs within the installation team and assist the co-ordinator/s in developing the resource within the team whilst maximising efficiency of resource available at any given site the MFS install team are working. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS To inspect all work that is carried out is done to the highest quality & in accordance to Thermo King guidelines. To assist the co-ordinator/s in day to day running of the site/s where resource could be working. To mentor and support Trainee Engineers, and support Engineer building skill levels. Identify any specific training needs within the installation team and report to Installation Manager. Always being mindful of ISO9001 standards and health and safety considerations and requirements. To ensure the quality of the build is kept to a high standard and to review any subsequent failures that may arise. look into development requests from customers and evaluate if their requirements are possible or find alternative solutions. work with Installation manager / Engineering Manager and co-ordinator/s to find ways to make resource more efficient and productive. Working on bespoke jobs and to create installation manuals/guides whilst working alongside the installation RTC/QC Supervisor. To ensure all OEM type approvals and instructions are being adhered to. Identify & evaluate what parts would be needed for jobs and ensure all necessary parts and ancillaries are arranged prior to commencing jobs. Monitoring Refrigerant and consumable levels and report any low stock to either parts person or Co-Ordinator/s. When working on various sites, communicate any potential problems/concerns to Co-Ordinator/s. Education: Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with at least 3 grade C’s or above. Experience: • Good working knowledge of the installation process. • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in, and detailed knowledge of vehicle/self-powered fridge installation or similar area. • Proven track record of delivering quality. Knowledge and Skills: • Excellent spoken and written communication skills • The ability to build relationships with colleagues at all levels • To be able to plan and priorities your own work and other peoples. • IT literate (Microsoft office) • Numerate, literate, methodical, systematic.
