Job description About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Agent to join our team for an exciting project based in Ipswich. The first project will involve assisting a Site Manager in the delivery of two blocks of flats, comprising a total of 30 units. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a carpentry background and solid, all-around building knowledge. Key Responsibilities: Project Delivery: Assist the Site Manager in overseeing the construction of two blocks of flats, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards of quality. Coordination: Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the on-site team to maintain smooth project operations. Site Supervision: Ensure all on-site activities comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Monitor work progress and address issues promptly. Problem Solving: Act as a key point of contact for resolving technical or logistical challenges on-site. Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of workmanship by performing regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed. Reporting: Assist in preparing progress reports, updating schedules, and managing site documentation. Compliance: Enforce adherence to project plans, specifications, and regulations. Qualifications and Experience: Background: Ideally, candidates should have a carpentry background with extensive knowledge of general construction practices. Experience: Proven experience in the construction of residential or commercial properties, with previous exposure to working under a Site Manager. Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
