Responsibilities:
1. Support the delivery of the Client's Quality Strategy.
2. Ensure the workload of the Tech team aligns with the achievement of the Technical / Quality KPIs.
3. Team leadership and ways of working:
1. Collaborate with Technical Managers and Lead Technologists.
2. Continuously improve ways of working to ensure the Technical team has a best-in-class reputation both internally and externally.
3. Create a common approach to address key business challenges.
4. Foster an environment where colleagues feel included and engaged at both the strategy level and within the Technical team.
5. Establish clear communication channels and regular touchpoints at individual and team levels.
6. Ensure each colleague is clear in their role and contribution to the overall team strategy and KPIs.
7. Support skill development and personal growth opportunities.
8. Coach colleagues based on individual strengths, development needs, and aspirations.
4. Manage a team of Technologists aligned to a division:
1. Prioritize and allocate work based on business needs.
2. Improve team performance and drive efficiency through effective workload distribution.
3. Ensure adherence to the defined divisional Critical Path, addressing any issues or delays to minimize impact.
5. Fulfill Technical responsibilities for a specific area or category.
6. Manage and maintain core block libraries.
7. Oversee Fit Model management, including costing, time slots, and models.
8. Conformance requirements:
1. Handle all standard commercial approvals and identify when escalation to Technical Manager is required (e.g., major fails, cancellation requests, product recalls).
2. Ensure all products are compliant and manage departmental specific testing.
3. Accountable for data management (test reports, fit logs, PLM, gold seals) as part of due diligence.
4. Log and manage Customer Complaints as required and oversee Customer Services stakeholder management.
5. Travel as needed to visit the supply base (including the Far East) to address business requirements.
9. Respond effectively to challenges and deliver best outcomes for the business.
10. Maintain attention to detail and possess good knowledge of compliance regulations and product safety standards.
11. Possess multi-product technical knowledge, specifically in Homeware.
