The post-holder is responsible for supporting the Clinical Leader and a small, cohesive multi-disciplinary team in; Provide positive and caring leadership while being a strong role model, and demonstrating the Trusts PRIDE (People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence) values at all times. Inspiring staff development through personal encouragement and professional development through our PDR process and up-holding high standards of care on our journey to excellence Manage the efficient utilisation of operating theatre lists, minimising delays and preventing on the day cancellations Have an in depth knowledge of the surgical pathway and design processes around the unique needs of the child and young person Have a complete knowledge and understanding of Trust Policies, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures and with the ability to write new Standards relevant to the new complex and ensure all of these are implemented and adhered to throughout the Complex Holds Trusts Paediatric Competencies Assist with the recruitment and retention of staff Support with Staff Health and Well Being, Sickness management, under the guidance of the Clinical leader Assist with staff development of all grades including Band 4s. Taking active role in Appraisals and Mandatory Training Involvement with all relevant National and Local Audits, with a responsibility to encourage 100% compliance and commitment.
