Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong data, numerical, and written skills, and be a self-starter capable of working independently. This role requires excellent relationship-building abilities.
As a member of the Commercial Team, you will deliver practical and valuable support to our Commercial Managers, Head of Commercial and wider logistics teams.
What will you be doing?
Maintaining registers of key contractual data alongside an effective electronic filing system of contractual documentation for all clients.
Working with Finance to audit billing accuracy to our customers
Reviewing annual rate increases and ensuring they are prepared and issued to the Commercial Managers in a timely manner.
Working closely with internal finance teams to ensure price increases are implemented and charged accordingly, once agreed with the clients.
Bi-weekly, collation of storage figures from each Great Bear site to support Business Development with highlighting available space.
Handling of ad-hoc commercial & contractual enquiries.
Preparation and distribution of key contractual documents.
Compiling Cost To Serve reports for clients in order to assist in reducing costs, and enhancing efficiency.
Building and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams, to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Providing general administrative support.
Reviewing and updating Account Development packs with the support of General Managers.
Project work including Automation and Sustainability
Qualifications Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
Some commercial experience and creative problem solving skills.
A strong sense of curiosity, with the ability to challenge constructively and propose innovative solutions.
The ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Applications.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
Experience in a Supply Chain environment, preferably 3PL preferable but not essential
