Network Support Analyst

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated second line support Engineer with a strong background in Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, ideally Mist, and F5 Load Balancer technologies. The ideal candidate will possess technical knowledge of network infrastructure, coupled with the ability to resolve complex issues escalated from first-line support. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of our network systems and involves managing supplier relationships and ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

As our Network Engineer you will
1. Network Support: Provide first and second-line technical support for network-related issues, including triaging and resolving complex problems. Monitor network performance and security, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively. Assist with the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of network hardware and software. Collaborate with other IT teams to implement network enhancements and upgrades.
2. Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Multi-vendor Wireless Expertise: Offer support for Cisco LAN (including Nexus), SD-WAN and Wireless, Palo Alto, Juniper, and F5 Load Balancer systems, including installation, changes, and troubleshooting. Resolve escalated issues related to these technologies to ensure minimal disruption to business operations. Maintain and update system configurations and related documentation.
3. Incident and Problem Management: Manage and resolve incidents and service requests related to network systems in a timely manner. Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences. Document all support activities, including incident resolution steps and troubleshooting procedures.
4. Supplier Management: Manage relationships with network and telephony system suppliers to ensure timely and effective support and service delivery. Coordinate with suppliers for issue resolution, product updates, and system enhancements. Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
5. SLA Management: Monitor and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) for network and telephony systems. Track and report on SLA performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement. Work with internal teams and suppliers to address any SLA breaches and implement corrective actions.
6. Customer Service: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on incident status and resolution. Maintain a customer-centric approach to ensure high levels of satisfaction and adherence to SLAs.
7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in network technologies. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities. Contribute to the development and enhancement of support processes and procedures.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
8. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a network support role.
9. Proven experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, and F5 Load Balancer systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
10. Strong understanding of network protocols, switching, and routing.
11. Experience with network monitoring tools and techniques.
12. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
13. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
15. Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), Juniper Networks Certified Specialist, or F5 Certified Administrator.
16. Experience with other network technologies and vendors.
17. Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management best practices.
