EC&I Engineer
Home based with site travel (regional)
£65,000- £75,000 depending on experience, plus annual bonus
Outsource UK’s global client are looking to hire 4x EC&I Engineers to plan and manage the programme of works for the Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (EICA) projects. This is an exciting role where you will be responsible for all stages of development and implementation of a number of projects and/or engineering works at various locations at any one time
Key Responsibilities include:
* Responsible for the application of appropriate electrical engineering codes and standards and management of any deviations from standards.
* Manage projects involving Transformers, HV/LV Switchgear, HV/LV distribution, ATEX Motors, Motor Starters, VSDs, UPSs, Hazardous Area Cabling/Containment/Junction Boxes and Earthing and Bonding Systems.
* Develop the scope of works based on 3rd party inspection reports/data along with budgets and forecasts for programme of work in EICA projects.
* Liaise with Technical Authority, Operations and other stakeholders to define maintenance windows.
* Identify and select suppliers in line with relevant legislation and Company’s procedures.
This would be a great role if you have:
* Relevant degree in Electrical Engineering
* Chartered or working towards chartership
* Previous experience managing electrical projects, load lists, SLDs, cable sizing, fault level and motor starting calculations.
* Specification of equipment for installation in Hazardous areas
* Working knowledge of COMAH, MOC, and CDM regulations
* Experience in managing ageing assets
* Experience in training and mentoring site electricians
* Previous experience of managing multiple site works
* Working knowledge of current legislation: DSEAR (ATEX), EWR, EER, Machinery Directive, PUWER, COMAH and CDM.
* Working Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as BS 7671 and BS EN 60079.
