Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)/Surgery Spotlight

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!
* Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Position Summary (This position will consist of 36 hours per week and requires on-call rotation.)
The Circulation/Scrub RN exercises independent judgment in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care delivered to patients undergoing surgery. This RN works collaboratively with the surgeon and anesthesiologist to maintain asepsis and assure safe, quality care throughout the surgical procedure. This RN supervises surgical technicians and other technical assistants and works collaboratively with all other departments. This position may be required to work all shifts.
Previous OR circulator experience strongly preferred. Specialty areas include general, orthopedic, urology, ENT, OB/GYN (to include c-sections), podiatry, pain management, endoscopy for adult and pediatric populations.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
License/Certifications: Current License as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine; Current BLS Certification.
Other certifications as required by department, including Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RN assisting Laboring Women.
Experience: A minimum of one year in an acute care setting preferred.
