HR Administrator Annual Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 p/a Location: Tipton Job Type: Full-time Working Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (On-site) We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated HR Administrator to join a leading national construction company. In this pivotal role, you will support the HR Officer and contribute significantly to the management of the employee life cycle. You will facilitate effective communication across Payroll, HR, Supervisors, Managers, and employees, ensuring the swift resolution of queries and requests. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Daily Tasks: Act as the primary contact for all HR and payroll-related inquiries, ensuring responses are timely and within HR SLAs. Handle overflow calls from the reception, delivering exceptional customer service. Manage HR and personal email inboxes, maintaining responsiveness within HR SLAs. Keep HR trackers updated with information on current employees, new starters, and leavers. Weekly Responsibilities: Support the onboarding process for new starters, including conducting inductions. Create and distribute ID badges for new starters. Maintain the Driver Check system to ensure all details are current and compliant. Prepare system access and IT request forms for new starters. Send out induction registers to the business and prepare employment contracts, amendments to terms & conditions, and offer letters. Schedule and assist with interviews alongside hiring managers. Conduct right to work checks following government guidelines. Ensure the accuracy of employee records and coordinate training sessions. Monthly and Ad Hoc Duties: Conduct monthly audits of the Driver Check system to ensure accuracy. Provide cover for team members during their absences. Participate in career fairs and assist with work experience placements. Engage in activities aimed at the continuous improvement of HR services and employee engagement. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. GCSE’s Grade 4 or equivalent. Previous administration experience is advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills and a personable demeanor. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality. Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing time effectively. Self-motivated and driven to achieve results.
