Job summary The post holder will be required to provide a professional, efficient and comprehensive reception service within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology unit on GTU - Gynaecology Triage Unit. Fulfilling all necessary reception, clerical, administrative and general tasks required to facilitate and record patient treatment using paper based health records and information technology systems. Staff are expected to be courteous and considerate at all times and have excellent customer care skills. After appropriate training the post holder will be required to utilise the hospital Medway PAS computer system to capture and update necessary data, and to use the case note tracing system to accurately record the movement of paper based health records. The role requires close liaison with other disciplines and the provision of a courteous, reliable and quality consumer service to patients, relatives and carers, healthcare professionals, internal departments and outside organisations.
