We are seeking to appoint a Head of Estates and Health & Safety Centre of Excellence (CoE) in a unique opportunity to join our multi-academy trust to support all our academies through their next stage of growth.
Dixons Academies Trust is a growing family of 17 schools serving the communities of Leeds, Bradford, Manchester and Liverpool. The postholder will be part of our Business Services team which includes experts from a range of backgrounds who work together to provide an outstanding service to our academies supporting our mission of challenging educational and social disadvantage in the North.
As the Head of our Estates and Health & Safety Centre of Excellence (CoE), you will lead a team of specialists to provide exceptional service across our trust, supporting the engineering, maintenance, compliance and safety needs of our academies across the North. You’ll manage critical functions including: building services engineering, contractor management, and lifecycle planning, while ensuring estates compliance and proactive PFI contract management.
Acting as a strategic partner, you’ll also provide "intelligent client" input on capital projects, helping to achieve the best outcomes from our capital investments and setting the standard for high quality and safe learning environments.
This role is about more than just managing estates. It’s about fostering a culture of professional growth within the CoE, building strong relationships with our academies and continuously raising service standards.
You’ll use data driven KPIs and service improvement plans to measure and enhance CoE effectiveness, ensuring the highest levels of service quality and resource allocation. Collaborating with service delivery and relationship management teams, you’ll work to streamline processes, share insights, and facilitate teamwork that aligns with statutory, regulatory and trust requirements. This is a pivotal role for a strategic leader who is passionate about creating and maintaining safe, efficient and inspiring spaces for education.
