Job Description
Purpose
This role will oversee the Management of Waste water Design and build framework in the North West.
Specific Responsibilities
1. Accountable for the successful management of frameworks
2. Management / Supervision and coaching of Site Managers to ensure effective running of operations
3. Responsible for overseeing operational and technical elements of multiple water utility frameworks
4. Responsible for ensuring all projects are delivered within financial budget and tight time constraints with regular reports back to the Directors. This includes overseeing profit and loss accounts
5. Management of KPI’s and production of staff
6. Monitoring health, safety, quality, and environmental issues, working closely with the SHEQ team to ensure safe delivery of works, updating on any issues and ensuring quality
7. Responsible for the management of subcontractors, plant, and materials
8. Key contact in liaising with the client and local authorities whilst conducting regular progress meetings
9. Effective monthly reporting to the Framework Director
10. Build relationships with key stakeholders and communicating relevant contractual information as required
11. Identify and implement opportunities/improvements for commercial efficiencies across operational activities and contracts
12. Lead on contract negotiations and implementation of contract variations as required
13. Provide contract-related issue resolution to any arising disputes or escalations with suppliers
14. Ensure that all processes followed are in line with legislation and company policies and are auditable with crucial documents, information and communications confidentially stored
15. Complete contract close-out, reviewing contracts for extension or renewal, and assisting procurement teams where applicable for re-procurement
Qualifications
1. Must be an experienced Utilities Contracts Manager who can organise and manage the completion of site works, for delivery, from a SHEQ and commercial perspective
2. Should have at least 5 years Management experience working on Utility Projects ideally for a main contractor
3. Excellent knowledge of Utility Projects and legislation within the Utilities Industry
4. Professional qualified with NRSWA Supervisor / SMSTS and NEBSOH / IOSH as a minimum
5. Proven track record of successful delivery from start to finish
6. Excellent commercial and programming awareness
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages
8. Full UK driving licence

6. This job is a full-time permanent role, 8am-5pm Monday to Friday from our Widnes Office
