Control Risks is seeking a Physical Security Systems Manager to help our client advance its protective design program, including the development and application of their physical security standards. The Physical Security Systems Manager role will support the Global Security Regional Directors by providing technical support and guidance. They will assist in the development of a consistent approach to the installation, upgrade and maintenance of physical security systems across the clients sites. This role involves working closely with various teams to embed security in all stages of the system development lifecycle and ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and regulations. The role will work closely with the clients Global Engineering and Real Estate teams to review security designs for major projects and advise on the technically preferred bids, and for smaller projects will be responsible for designing and drawing schematics to submit to project teams.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Security Integration: Embed a security culture into the design, development, and deployment of technical security systems to ensure robust protection against threats.
Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk and vulnerability assessments of technical security systems to identify potential security risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
Compliance: Ensure all systems comply with relevant security standards, regulations, and best practices.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, hardware engineers, and IT security professionals, to ensure a cohesive security strategy.
Security Reviews: Conduct regular security reviews and audits of systems to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports related to technical security systems.
Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest security trends, technologies, and threats, and continuously seek innovative ways to enhance the functionality of systems.
Technical Design and Implementation: Act as a liaison to company's sites and offices in the areas of technical design and implementation of security systems, including commissioning of said systems.
Standards Development: Develop standards and guidelines for physical security and security systems for clients sites globally.
Corrective Actions: Advise on corrective actions to upgrade technical posture of sites through coordination with Facility Security Leads/Security Manager (where one is assigned).
Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct technical security vulnerability assessments and coordinate recommendations and implementations of corrective security measures as directed.
Requirements
Skills, knowledge and abilities
* Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering (civil, structural) and 7+ years of relevant work experience (e.g., design, construction, etc.).
* OR bachelor’s degree in a security related field w/ 7+ years of experience in technical and/or physical security design.
* Knowledge of and experience with design and construction management
* Experience with security project management.
* Knowledge of CPTED standards.
* Experience with communicating technical information to technical, non-technical and senior-level personnel.
* Relevant professional registration(s) and/or certifications.
