Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Salisbury Contract Type: Temporary, Full-time/Part-time Job Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our pool of schools within Salisbury. The successful candidate will work closely with staff to provide support in the classroom, assist students with their learning, and help foster a positive, engaging, and inclusive educational environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom. Support students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they are included and engaged in all activities. Help with the preparation of teaching materials and resources. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them achieve their learning goals. Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. Provide support during classroom activities, both indoors and outdoors. Supervise students during break times, lunch, and school trips as required. Help maintain student records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with school policies. Essential Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. A strong understanding of child development and learning processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive approach to working with children. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
